    Poor framerates in games, custom system, can't find cause

    I recently got a friend a CRT, with its configuration , it reached the screen with 120hz . got home I installed it and found with horror that this screen has not up to 85Hz with my setup . I think that is a concern at my device manager , it does not hold myself in a screen monitor plug and play I do not know if this is normal. It have Poor framerates in games. Can you help me ? My configuration is :
    Graphics Card: 256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro
    Processor : AMD Athlon ( tm ) 64x2 Dual Core processor 5000 +.

    The refresh rate depends on the resolution. This means you can have the 120Hz at 640x480 and 1024x768 85Hz but know you must have the technical documentation for your screen, even though Windows normally manages to recognize the screen . Theoretically with the screen , you have a cd driver or, at worst , you go into the Device Manager icon on the screen and you ask to update the drivers for this device . Incidentally , 85 Hz is sufficient.

    Graphics perfect- the models are finements modeled, well-chosen lighting create an atmosphere and a very strong identity . The animations are very fluid (with magnificent scrolling differential and more than 16 million colors simultaneously) without requiring a PC art . The sound is also very good, and the rebound scenario will reserve of surprises ! A set essential for any self-respecting toy library . The Mode Stan should be off.

    You have to relieve the work of the graphics card . You need to lower some graphic effects to increase the fps, and lower resolution. You should also edit your config ( max_fps , the spleen etc. ...), look on the net the examples given.Some launch windows media player, leave the bottom spot , then launch the game, it appears that some see their fps up. Otherwise you have to change the graphics card: you have a less powerful hardware , do not hope to have better performance ! even with the AC value is not enough.

    The configuration that you give is one thing, but far from sufficient for any diagnosis:
    * connection type
    * operating system
    * Drivers used ( go download the latest drivers for your gear on your sites different manufacturers, including the latest version of DirectX)
    * work in the background ( what turns the same time on your bike , like antivirus, firewall, Divx porn inset , etc.)
    * What resolution / graphics options.

    You may well inflate this or that, but the performance gain will leave you still probably in the same order of magnitude (that means you can maybe win a little, but probably not much) less than drastic change. The usual options are to boost the memory, but 512K is not bad . Next is the graphics card, but a good graphics card also requires a fast processor and a memory to give the best of itself. Upgrading the processor, finally , but you're already at 1 Ghz and you can hardly find better unless any change ( or at least your motherboard ) .
