Many of you have problems while taking apart XBOX. I have tried to explain as clearly as possible how to disassemble your Xbox 360 console. Here is the list of what you need before you begin.
- Torx Screwdriver (6, 7 and 12)
- small and flat screwdriver
- 2 blades rigid and thin 1mm and 1.5mm thick max
- Pliers flat and thin
- Your Xbox 360 (it goes without saying)
Step 1 :
Remove the front of the previously Xbox 360. (This step will serve both for the total dismantling of the shell of the console for the mere change of custom Faceplates)
Pull gently on the front bottom (USB side) and gently press the top and bottom ends of the front (side drive). Once out of bindings you can remove it without difficulty.
Also remove the silver sticker flocked Microsoft. Do not touch anything else on the front of the console. We will now remove the small plate of cooling which is the opposite of the hard drive on the console. Using a screwdriver or can a rigid blade you try to unclip the notches that hold the grid. There are 6 in all. Go slowly when handling.
Depending on the version of your console (core or premium system pack) you get a step more to make but that only takes a few seconds, it is the hard drive. Press the small button to remove your HDD. If you encounter problems or have further information refer to the manual 360. After that reuse the previous process which involved the removal of the air vent.
You are now with both ends removed and therefore both parties within that blocked the opening of the hull.
Go back to the front of the console and your console back gently so as to have the registration XBOX 360 cover below the hull. You have before you four fasteners along the front. With your screwdriver to force it gently unlock and release the upper part of the hull. We will end up removing the bottom shell of the console. To do this you should use your small screwdriver and insert it into the slots that are present in the back. Each click will function as your confirmation of the withdrawal of fasteners.
Now we come across something that looks like a few details to the Faraday cage of the 1st generation Xbox. Like the latter, it also has torx screws. Please have your Torx screwdriver for precision with the T12 for the 14 screws gray and T6 for the remaining 8 black. Once removed you're in the bowels of the Xbox 360.
