Please i want anyone can solve my problem, i have gta iv episodes and i reinstalle windows xp when i paste the old saving files msg appears thay fail load check hard drive, i've been finished 45% of the game and do not want to start again

I think that it is possible to transfer the save game if you saved the game on an offline account, it is possible to transfer the data over. The save game folder is at C:\Documents and Settings\USER(your user name folder)\Local Settings\Application Data\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames. You need to save the entire user_xxx folder (the xxx is the number part, it's different on every comp). Rename the old save folder (from your desktop) to the same name as your new save folder (on your laptop). Then paste the desktop's save folder over the laptop's save. Now the game should recognize the save game.

thank you for help but it did not work, i read before about xlive what is the relation, i playing with offline account, and old xlive deleted when i formating windows xp

With the new XLiveLess patch we can play with models because it contains all support for working savegames and also an integrated asi loader. With this dll patch we can mod the game, use savegames, can't play multiplayer which is a pain and load asi files summarizing in all. The main trouble is that we need to backup before modding anything cause then we just need to replace files in case of a failure in launching the game rather than reinstalling it again.

I think your save game file has been corrupted, hence you are not able load it. Now there is only two ways, either you play the game again from the start ot you need to search for some save game on internet. Anyways, i can help you out little bit here. I think that at the time when you launch the game, you are given an option to play this game at offline mode and in this mode I was able to save game which was located in my documents folder, dont know why it is not working for you? You just have to create an offline profile to save your game. First delete all the previous save files and profiles and then in offline mode create a new profile and save game.

without save it run very smoth but when i want to save, it show windows live and in that i make acount then it asked the product key from where i get it do reply plz

Can anyone please help me with the EFLC.exe system error that is continoulsy occuring when I try to run the game grand theft auto episodes from liberty city. I downloaded the game and installed it properly but after running it I get the error. I am on Windows 7 Ultimate and Video card is ati hd4870, processor is quad core with 2 gb ram. I will upload the below EFLC.exe system error image also in case to give away as much info as I can. Thank you.

Well if this is the exe file error then I guess the game is corrupted so now what I want you to do here is that just try and reinstall the game again but this time the proper copy of the game not the unauthorized one . I hope that it will definitely help you to solve the issue here.
