System Crashes to Desktop with Stalker Complete 2009 mod

Sup gamers, I have a desktop computer which is installed with Windows 7 operating system. The computer has a Nvidia graphic card and about 2gb RAM. On this computer I have installed STALKER on it. The game was running little slow and hence I downloaded and installed the STALKER complete 2009 mod but after the installation of the mod, I am not able to play the game at all. Whenever the game is started, it crashes to desktop. The mod was suppose to improve the gameplay but I dont understand why the System Crashes to Desktop with Stalker Complete 2009 mod and hence need your help in solving the issue. So if there are any solutions/suggestions about the topic, please share some information. Thanks in advance.

Windows 7 does not support all the games which are supported by Windows XP operating system. If the game is not supported by the operating system then the game will not work at all or will some problems while running. The list of all the games which are supported by Windows 7 operating system is available on the official website. Check the list and see if the game is supported by the Windows 7 operating system. If the game is not supported by the operating system, then there is nothing much you can do about it.

The Stalker complete 2009 mod has lot of graphics modifications which may be not supported by the graphic card which you are using. The default game of Stalker supports the graphic card with shader model 2.0 while after installing the mod the graphic requirements of the game increases and the game can only be played with graphic card which supports shader model 3.0 or 4.0. Therefore before trying any troubleshooting, check if the graphic card which you are using supports shader model, 3.0 or not. If the graphic card does not supports higher graphics then you will have to upgrade the graphic card.

Check if the version of the game which is installed on the computer is proper or not. There are lot of files which are associated to the game. If any of the file which is associated to the game is corrupt or missing on the computer then the game will not work properly. The only way to solve such problem is to replace all the files which are corrupt or missing on the system. I will suggest you that, uninstall the current installed version of the game from the computer and then reinstall the game again. Before reinstalling the game, remove all the files/keys which are associated to the game. After reinstalling the game, download the patch and see if the game works properly.

Try running the game in compatibility mode and see if the game works. All the versions of Windows operating system which are released after Windows XP have compatibility mode. Compatibility mode helps the user to run the applications of the older version of the Windows operating system on the latest version. To run the game in compatibility mode, right click on the game icon and select properties. Go to compatibility tab. Check mark the option which says "Run this application in compatibility mode" and select Windows XP SP2. Save and apply the settings. Now see if the game is working or not.

This minimum system requirements for the application should be fulfilled by the computer, inorder to run the game properly. Therefore check the minimum system requirements for the game. Check if the computer which you are using meets all the system requirements. If the computer does not fulfill the system requirements, then the game will not work on the computer.
