PhysXloader.dll is missing in metro 2033

I downloaded metro 2033 and extracted it and when I try to run this game I get an error message saying that PhysXloader.dll is missing and it cannot be started? Does anyone have any idea what this missing file refers to, or even where can I download PhysXLoader.dll so that I can play this game. Thanks for any information.

Ok, so you have nvidia video card installed on your pc it seems. Well basically you need to install Physics drivers to reolve this issue. For getting the same you need to install the latest driver from either Nvidia or Ati so that you can play the game fine without any problems. Download the latest drivers from www.nvidia.com

Metro 2033 game uses multi-threaded CPU physics so you will require drivers like the nVIDIA PhysX System Software 9.10.0222 for example. Features of nVIDIA PhysX System Software 9.10.0222 are listed below:

I also got the same error message, so what I did was removed my original Physix driver and clened my system with Ccleaner and then installed the same version of driver that is listed above by einstein and it worked for me. Now I am happily playing the game and it is a wonderful game I must say. Hope that helps you.

If still you are not able to get you game working even after installing the physx driver then what you can do is remove it completely from your pc. You just need to run the installer of the game from the steam folder and restart your pc and that would solve your issue. Note that the install location is c:/program files(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/metro2033/install/ and run as admin priviledge.

I also kept getting the same error message even after reinstalling the game and restarting the pc but finally afterwards went to these same location c:/program files(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/metro2033/install/ and clicked on Physx file and it just opened and uninstalled itself from there. Hope that saves your time and helps you by started getting to play this game.
