| DirectX Issue while playing NFS
i have a xfx 9400gt pice card on my windows xp machine. i have installed the drivers properly but the DXDIAG shows directx 9.0b and i am not able to play any of the new games.(like i tried NFS shift and other latest) Please anybody help...  |

The latest is the DirectX 9.0c which has to be updated on Windows XP adn the same you can download from here - DirectX 9.0 SDK

how does the above link help me ? i have a latest directx setup with me and i tried it so many times...but still this dxdiag shows 9.0b only !!! this is why i am not able to play any new games... everytime when i launch a game it says." your graphics card is not directx 9.0 compatible "(even though i have xfx 9400gt pcie) Please clarify !!!! |

Have you installed the latest driver for your video card? How old is it? Download Everest and open computer>sensor and post the GPU temp and the GPU ambient temp.
