Desktop freezes while playing Bad Company 2

I am having the desktop computer system with the Windows Vista operating system. I have installed the Bad Company 2 game in this computer but i am facing problem in playing this game on my computer system. The desktop freezes while playing Bad Company 2 on it. I am here to get the solution for this issue of the Bad company 2 game. I hope that i will get the proper solution over here.

There can be many reasons for getting this problem. First of all make sure that your computer has the proper hardware configuration to play this game. Check the RAM and the graphic card requirements of the game.

I will recommend you to remove all the audio input devices connected to your desktop computer like the microphone, if any connected. May be this is because of some kind of the hardware conflict of the game. After that you will be able to play the Bad Company 2 game without any freezing problem. Remove all other audio input devices connected to your computer system.

As we have stated that this problem can occur because of multiple issues, one of them can be due to the hardware acceleration of the sound device of the desktop computer system. So i will advise to reduce the hardware acceleration of the sound device of the desktop if it is currently set to full. For doing it follow the steps given below.
Start-> Run -> Type ‘dxdiag’ -> Sound Tab -> adjust the hardware sound acceleration level .

If you are having the dedicated sound card installed in your desktop computer system other than the onboard sound card then make sure that the onboard sound card of the desktop computer system is disabled and it is also not selected as the default sound card by the Windows Vista operating system. This can cause the problem because of which the system is freezing during the Bad Company 2.

As we all know the Windows Vista operating system requires more RAM memory for the startup and for running the OS on the system as compared to the Windows XP and the Windows 7 operating system. So i will recommend you to close the unnecessary programs and services from the start-up of the system. This will create more free RAM memory for the game. May be this will resolve the freezing problem of the desktop during playback of the Bad Company 2 game.
