Screen goes blank while playing Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

The following is the configuration of my computer :-
    1. Intel Dual core processor @1.8 ghz
    2. Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT graphic card.
    3. 1Gb transcend Ram.
The operating system on this computer is Windows 7. On this computer I have installed Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising but I am not able to play the game. The Screen goes blank while playing Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. I think the configuration of the computer is good enough to run such games and hence I dont understand why I am not able to play the game. So if there are any insights about the problem please feel free to share them.

The graphic card configuration must be conflicting with the graphics setting of the game and hence the game is not running properly. All the Nvidia graphic cards are preconfigured to run all the high end graphics editing softwares. These settings can sometimes conflict with the game settings. Therefore try configuring the graphic card again and see if the game works. Open the graphic properties and click on Manage 3D settings. Highlight Triple Buffering and enable force off. Highlight Vertical sync and enable force off. Highlight Anistropic filtering and enable force off. Save the settings and then run the game.

Windows 7 does not support all the games which are supported by Windows XP operating system. If the game is not supporting by the operating system then the game will either not run at all or will give some problems while running. The list of all the games which are supported by the Windows 7 is available on the official website of Microsoft. Check the list and see if the game which you are trying to run is supported by Windows 7. If the game is not supported by the operating system then there is nothing much you can do about it.

Dual core processors have two processing cores which start processing the application at the same time which is not supported by some games and hence such games will not run properly on the system. You will have to disable one of the core of the processor so that the game runs smoothly. To disable one of the processing core, start the game and then open the task manager. Go to the processes tab and right click on game process. Select Set affinity and disable one of the core. Click on OK and then resume the game. See if the game runs smoothly or not.

Try running the game in compatibility mode. All the versions of the operating system which are released after Windows Xp have compatibility mode. Compatibility mode is used to run the applications which used to run properly in earlier versions of the operating system on the latest version of the operating system. To run the game in compatibility mode, right click on the game icon and select properties. Go to compatibility tab. Now check mark the option which says "Run the application in compatibility mode" and select Windows XP. Save the settings and see if the game works properly.

All the applications which are installed on the computer have lot of files associated to it. If any of the files of the application is corrupt or is missing from the system then the application will not work properly. The only solution to solve such problem is to replace the corrupt files. Replacing the corrupt or the missing files will solve the problem. Uninstall the game from the computer and remove all the keys/files from the computer. Once all the traces of the application are removed, reinstall the game and see if the game works properly or not.
