FALLOUT 3 freezes with Black Screen of Death

Last week I had a system upgradation done to my home desktop computer. I was earlier using Windows XP Service Pack 2 on a 1 GB RAM and Intel Dual Core processor. I have now switched to Windows 7 and using 3 GB RAM with a newly installed 512 MB ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphic card. I was earlier able to play Fallout 3 on Windows XP but on installing Fallout 3 in Windows 7 I am getting a Black Screen of Death. How can I sort out this error. Is it that Fallout 3 is not compatible with Windows 7 ?

    Re-install the game Fallout- III

The issue is most likely to be because the game Fallout- III was incorrectly installed on Windows 7. I do not see any reason why the game will not run on Windows 7, if it was running on Windows XP. So to verify that the game is installed properly you can re-install the game. Check if there is any file found missing while re-installing Fallout- III

    Graphic Card issue

This Blue Screen error which you are facing is probably due to the Graphic Card. Either the graphic card is not fitted properly on the motherboard or the graphic card has gone bad. Therefore, firstly my suggestion is that you open your PC Case and remove the graphic card from the motherboard socket. Clean the socket and plug it back in. If the issue persist then the graphic is to be blamed for the Blue Screen error.
