Problem with CoD2

Okay, i reinstalled windows 7 a several days ago. When i installed cod2, with the original dvd, i got error like iwd.06 can't load or something...
There was an option "Retry" i did it for several times, then finally i got it installed, but when i got it installed, and i wanted to change my Configuration, i went to the main folder (which is in activision folder) and there was no "players" folder where config.mp should be...I reinstalled cod2 like 5 times, 2 times a cracked cod2, still the same... I'm desperate, could someone help me, Please

There is some bug issue related to the istaller of the game application. You need to use another installer in order to make the game to work out correctly. The bug is ben appended to the certain file of the game which has caused the issue. So check out for the same.
