    Age of Empires III graphics not working properly

    Hi,

    I have a problem that Age of Empires III graphics not working properly and I can not select in the graphics menu option High quality shadows, I can only select or Low or Normal, I went tried fewer options, ie shadow detail could only select low, and so many options. What should I do to get optimal graphics quality? thank you very much.

    You have windows vista or xp? if you want to run the age3, you have to download the service pack 1 for win vista that addresses compatibility issues and If you have win xp then, you have to go to the icon of the game, you right click, Properties and the Compatibility tab, select the option that is compatible with win XP SP2.

    To resolve this problem, first try to set the computer monitor settings at 1024 x 768 at 75 hertz. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click the right mouse button (mouse) on the desktop and then click Properties.
    2. Click Settings.
    3. Move the slider under Screen resolution to 1024X768.
    4. Click Advanced.
    5. On the Adapter tab, click List all modes.
    6. Under List of valid modes, select 1024 x 768 at 75.
    7. Click OK to close the dialog box list all modes.
    8. Click OK and then click OK to close the Display Properties dialog.
    9. Test the game.
