sad Random PC Freezes while playing Batman Arkham Asylum

My PC specs are as follows:-
    Intel core2 duo E7200, 2.53 Ghz,
    1.99 GB RAM,
XFX 9400 GT 1 GB Video card,
    Gigabyte 6-quad S-series motherboard with IntelĀ® P965 Express Chipset,
    500 watts X-sys PSU.

I have been experiencing random freezes while playing Batman Arkham asylum. I have tried playing the game at minimum video settings. Also installed latest PhysX driver but nothing helps.
Hope you would be able to help in letting me know the possible causes and how to rectify them.

I am PC novice. So pl help.

Have you made sure your graphics card drivers are up to date? It sounds like a hardware failure. Could you check the Event Viewer it's in Administrative Tools on your operating system. It should give some kind of indication of the system that's failed. The only solution is to save often, and when you encounter a problem area, either avoid it, or when you enter the area, look toward the floor as much as possible. Alternatively, you start Deus Ex in safemode to play through these areas.
