Try Adding a parameter to the properties of desktop shortcut : Set bltonly to True, this forces blt mode instead of flip mode, which solves problems with older graphics cards. If the slowdown in performance does not occur when you try to save or start a game, Then on the desktop, click the right mouse button on the shortcut Dungeon Siege, and then click Properties. Click the Shortcut tab. In the Target box, click the end of the line of text, press the spacebar once, type bltonly = true, click Apply, then OK. |

Verify that you fulfill the Dungeon Siege 2 minimum system requirements for video, processor and RAM. Make sure that the configuration of your computer exceeds the minimum system requirements for video, processor and RAM requirements to play Dungeon Siege. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK. 2. Click the System tab. 3. Under System Information, note the values that appear next to Memory and Processor. 4. Click the Display tab or the Display 1 tab. 5. Under Device, note the value that is next to Approx. Total Memory. 6. Click Exit. |

You can also add parameters to the properties of desktop shortcut, to increase its speed, Assigning to asynccursor False disables asynchronous cursor. This increases the speed of frames but slows the response time of the mouse. Assigning Vsync to False improves graphics performance. You can also do this by, on the desktop, click the right mouse button on the shortcut Dungeon Siege, and then click Properties. Click the Shortcut tab. In the Target box, click the end of the line of text, press the spacebar once, type asynccursor = false vsync = false, click Apply, then OK. |
