What is torchlight

Has anyone heard about Torchlight. In face book I had seen a recent post where a new members was discussing about this game. On searching internet I found the game. But I am still not able to understand the clear idea of the game. Is this a racing game or shooting types game. What is the basic story of this game.

Torchlight proposes to embody three types of characters, which it is impossible to edit at will, but each with different abilities, the archer, the barbarian and the alchemist. However, each of these classes may change with experience.
