Computer terminates games on its own

Hello there, I have a HP Pavilion Desktop PC with Windows XP installed which is powered by an Intel Dual Core processor (2.2 ghz). It has an Intel Motherboard and the system memory is 1 gb with an Nvidia Graphic card (onboard). The problem is that whenever i start any game, the computer terminates it before it starts. When the game is started it shows that it is opening it but it gets terminated without giving any error. Sometimes it also gives a blue screen saying "Physical memory dump, the system will restart" when a game is started. Is this because of my graphic card? if any of you guy's have a solution about this please let me know.

The problem of computer closing the gaming applications is common problem faced by the dual core processor users. There are two processors present in the dual core processor. When any gaming application is started, both the processor try to process the application as both are not in sync. As both the processor try to process the application at the same time, the CPU usage reaches 100%. As soon as it reaches 100% both the processor stop processing the application and hence it gets terminated without giving an error. There certain programs available which are used to fix this problem. These programs are called dual core gaming fix and are available free online.

It is possible that this could be happening because of corrupt executable file of games. Many times during installation of games it happens that all the files required for the games to run are not copied completely on to the hard drive. If any of the file is missing then the games does not run properly. Uninstalling the games first and then reinstalling them again might work here. Remember to delete the folder of the game after uninstalling as it contains files which will not get replaced during re-installation.

Check the System requirements of the game as different games have different requirements. Many times it happens that the game we are trying to run has system requirement more than our system. Because of this the games wont run properly or may not run at all. Therefore you should always check the system requirements before installing the game on your computer.

Physical memory dump is an error related to the System memory. Whenever some address location on RAM is in-accessible to the system it gives this error. It is possible that the RAM requirements of the games are too high and your system is not able to provide it with it. Try to increase the system memory by putting some extra chips of RAM in the vacant slots of the motherboard. Before adding new chips, clean the terminals of the older chips with dry cloth and replace it again in the same slot properly.

You have an onboard graphics card which sometimes is not able to fulfill the graphics requirements of the new games. Although as you have a Nvidia graphic card, it is possible that its default configuration is not allowing you to play the games. Some game dont run while anistropic filtering and triple buffering is on. By default both of these settings are on for the NVIDIA graphic card. Disabling them might do the trick for you. To disable these settings, Open the Nvidia graphics control panel, Go to Manage 3D settings. Now highlight Anistropic filtering and select Force off. Now Select Triple buffering and select Force off. Now save and apply the settings and restart the computer. Once the computer restarts try running the game which hopefully will run

Are you installing the games from an Original CD or are you using Pirated version? If you are using an original cd then the game will only run when the CD is inserted in the CD drive. Once the game starts, then you can remove the CD if you want but to start the game it needs the executable file from the CD. If you are using a Cracked version of the game then check if the crack is installed properly. Many times the games dont run as the Crack is not installed properly.
