PS3 Media server AVI file problem

I was using my ps3 to stream avi files from my windows xp desktop but got rid of it, just recently i bought a windows vista laptop set up the media server from laptop to ps3 but now when i put the AVI files in the video/music/pictures folders the ps3 cant seem to detect that the files are there, what could be the problem ? really appreciate it if someone could help me out, thanks

Try to use some application for streaming avi files ps3 to windows as vista having complete different security environment than xp and even more powerful well for you try PS3 Media Server
