COD:World at War & Windows 7 FPS Issue

I am having the game COD:World at War. I am not able to play it on my system having Windows 7 as operating system. Is this game not compatible with the Windows 7 ? Since I am new user to Windows 7 I don't know what is causing this issue. I have noticed that I am getting 40-45 fps. I am having the graphic card of NVIDIA. Also tell me the requirements for this game. Any one can help me ?!

These are the requirements for the PC version for the COD:World at War

    Processor: AMD 64 3200+/Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz or better
RAM: 512MB RAM (XP)/1GB RAM (Vista and Windows 7)
Hard Drive: 8 GB free hard-drive space
Graphics: ATI Radeon 1600XT or better / 256MB Nvidia GeForce 6600GT

If you are having this configuration the game can be played smoothly.

Call of Duty World at War - Windows 7 Drops to 40 fps because you are not having the updated driver for your video card. You have not mentioned the model no. of NVIDIA that you are using. Check that if there are latest driver available for your video card on the NVIDIA site. If any upgraded driver is available try to install that. Installing the latest driver will sort out your problem.

Are you using the 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?? Because the game does well work on 32-bit Windows 7. Then maybe your setup file of that game is corrupted. So try to install the game from another source. Be sure that you are having the recommended requirements and not the minimum because there are many issues with the minimum.

Thats scenario is much similar like mine. I than changed my OS to the Windows XP and now I can play that game smoothly. No fps issue in Windows XP. Try to upgrade the driver for your card. Otherwise you will have to change the OS like me. There are many drawbacks of Windows Vista and Windows 7 when it comes to gaming.
