Sims3 hangs in between on ZENITH 401L-5 desktop

I am using Zenith 401L-5 desktop. I bought the newly released Sims3 video game. I loved the earlier versions of Sims. I played it on my Sony Vaio laptop. But now I have also purchased a new Zenith desktop last month. I installed Sims3 on my Zenith desktop. But when I play this game it suddenly hangs in between and then the screen pauses, after a while everything goes blank and I have no other option then to restart my desktop.

It seem your Zenith computer doesnot meets the minimum system requirements of the game Sims 3. Here are the minimum system requirements for Sims 3, Graphics: GeForce Go 6200 / Radeon mobile 9600, for Graphics Card it requires 128 MB, and the Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz / Athlon XP 2400+ with RAM: 2.0 Giga bytes. Check if you need to upgrade any of your desktop configuration accordingly.

Even I had a similar problem when I installed GTA4 on my Dell desktop. My desktop would hang after a few minutes when I started to play GTA4. I contacted my computer technician and he informed me that infact my video card had gone bad. I needed to replace. You can unplug your video card and clean it and then fix it making sure it is not loose. Check whether the problem still persists. It if does there are chances your Video card has gone bad and you also need a replacement.

I have heard alot about the Sims 3 game crashing alot. Although I have not yet played it, but my advise would be un-install the game completely from your machine. Re-install and make sure that it completes installation without any interrupts. If still the problem continues you can probably get a replace for the Sims 3 disc and install it using another disc. Also check the minimum system requirements for Sims 3, it will be printed on the disc cover.
