Fix Warcraft 3 Cinematic problem

Hi,
I had installed Warcraft 3 game in my PC. I had a 17" Samsung LCD monitor. When I run the game the first cinematic which it plays is blurry. After that the game goes fine. But the screen blinks in between after some time. I checked the cable connection. This part is fine because everything is new here. So the problem can be either with my Graphic card or the game setup. What are your suggestion for this. How can I troubleshoot this problem. Thanks.

First disable your screen saver. If you kept that enabled then the blinking issue appears in between when you play the game. Go to game settings and check that your have selected appropriate resolution. This can a resolution issue. Some game need a specific type of resolution go render better graphics. If you have the manual for the game then just give look on it. A re-installation can also fix the problem.

Try this solution. It works for me. Right click on the desktop icon of Warcraft game. Then click on Properties. Go to Compatibility section and then disable the desktop composition. Restart your system first so that all the changes can take effect. Run the game back. Check your graphic card drivers also. If possible update them. Old drivers cause issue in the newest games as they render high end graphics.

First update your Graphic Card's drivers. Then get a graphic emulator for the game graphic. Like opengl. A emulator can help your system to render much better graphic for the game and put less strain on the system resource. It is a best option to play graphic games. There are many emulators available for free download. I will recommend you to go with OpenGl.

The problem is not your GPU or the monitor. This game have issues with any new video card on market. I had GTS 250 and now a HD 4890 both had this problem with warcarft 3. I allready patch to 1.26a versión and update both video card drivers, and still doesn´t work with cinematic. The only way to make this old game works is to use a windows XP with the correct video codecs installed. I will try to find some codec or fix with some patch if i can. Don´t blame about your PC, this happend to anyone with a new brand computer..It´s an old game and still have issue with cinematics videos...
