I own a Playstation 3 that I put online, with the Livebox. Unfortunately, when I try to do the scan, I have a problem obtaining an IP address: "failed" and when I try to do by manual entry, I can have an IP address but I reported a problem in DNS. I really do not know much about this stuff and I would be very grateful to the person who comes to help me.

You need to set up livebox correctly
- Enter in the "interface of livebox" by typing: http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your browser.
- A login and password are requested from default, both are: admin
- Skip to "wireless network"
- Select a channel, preferably between 9 and 13
- Then how: 802.11 b + g
- Security: Wep
- Do MAC filtering, if you turn it on, it will add the MAC address of the PS3 in the livebox (Ps3 menu => "system parameter" => "system info"), there is no MAC filtering models Inventel.
- Click on "LAN servers"
Some information are returned:
- Server name: Ps3
- Access Enabled: Yes
- Protocol: TCP
- From the port: 1
- At the port: 5223
- Local IP address is the IP of the PS3: 192.168.1.10
Do the same for handling UDP. Finally save settings, restart the livebox and put in "association".

you will also need to make changes in the PS3 Settings. First, go to your menu system. Then go see if your Internet connection is activated. After that go to network settings in the XMB
- Method of connection: wireless
- Signal strength: 85 to 100%
- SSID: (the name of your livebox, run the scan to find your livebox but attention should not be more than 25m from your PS3). also avoid falling on the livebox to your neighbor.
- Channel: 6 (optional)
- Connection Security: WEP.
- Address Settings: Manual
- IP address: 192.168.1.10 (but the IP address and DNS are only valid for the livebox!)
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
- Default router: 192.168.1.1
- Primary DNS: 192.168.1.1
- Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0 (192.168.1.1)
- MTU: Automatic
- Proxy server: Do not use
- UPnP: Enable
- Nat type 2
