Call of duty 4 problem PC MP

When I start up the multiplayer game I get a message that says: "Couldn't load fileSysCheck.cfg. Make sure Call of Duty 4 is run from the correct folder."

What is going on here? I just installed it and I haven't touched anything and it won't run.

    Recommended configuration for this game.
    - Dual-Core Processor at 2.4 GHz or higher
    - 1GB for XP and 2GB for Vista
    - 8 GB hard disk occupation
    - Nvidia Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or higher.

    Hope this helps.

    1) primary cause of the problem: the graphics card

try this at your own risk, Go in windows explorer then click program files open Call of Duty Game of the Year Edition, click UO folder and look for the file and rename the uoconfig in default_mp.cfg. once this is done the game is good enough to start.
