The sony play station 3000 only supports the resolutions of only 320x240, 368x208, 400x192. And it does not support divx video format, convert your videos in mp4 format. Use 368 x 208 pixels, because anything beyond that will be shown as unsupported format.

AVSVideoConverter is a very convenient tool for converting video files between most popular formats (AVI, MPEG-2, WMV, DivX and Xvid, among others). The software does not simply change the format of your videos you can also add a series of effects (rotate, add titles and quotations, split and join video files, adjust sharpness .) view details the selected video and extract audio tracks or images of the film to keep them apart.

The resolutions supported by Sony PSP is limited to 76800 pixels, and The PSP does support 478x272 and has done for quite a long time. If you have not upgrade your iphone then you wont be able to play 478x272 video.
