    Dragon Quest IX Preview (DS)

The release of Dragon Quest IX in Japan came in the summer sunshine players Nippon despite some fears to host the ninth installment of the series on DS. Episode unpublished and particularly since the expected good performance conducted by the eighth one around the world, Dragon Quest IX appears somewhat at ease on a laptop, especially since it brings with it a new size in the saga: the Multiplayer.

After some nice remakes that have helped to publicize the Dragon Quest saga to the European public through episodes IV and V, Square Enix has told the team of Level-5 heavy responsibility to develop the A to Z as anticipated ninth installment in the series. A mission to live up to the reputation of the studio that Nippon had already excelled in performing with great success The Journey of the Cursed King, the eighth installment in the series. With Dragon Quest IX, the main challenge lay in having to be confined to technical limitations of the portable Nintendo while offering a modern achievement enough to please the young audience. The result is a fully realized in full 3D, except for the presence of some 2D sprites for the least important NPC. Visually, Level-5 therefore carries a small feat since the title approximates the PS2 component and one of the prettiest of the DS.

More about groping, the gameplay is first passed through an attempt at real-time game that has not satisfied the purists, too anxious at the thought that the title too could get away from the original episodes on Famicom ( Japanese NES). I must say that Dragon Quest is an absolute myth on the archipelago since 1986, which explains why the fans are certainly not willing to sacrifice the nostalgic dimension on the altar of modernity. Therefore, fighting in turn-are again putting in Dragon Quest IX, except that the enemies are now visible on the ground and inside the dungeons. We may therefore seek to avoid slalom between the monsters less vigilant to save time, even though most ringworm will not hesitate to us race for miles. Good news in itself because it spares us the too frequent random encounters while allowing us to choose more or less the type of enemy we face wants. The monster with which it collided was in fact always present in the battle, the only uncertainty is what other creatures will accompany the sly.

Another major change is the requirement to create her character early in the game by choosing its name and basic appearance. Like the eighth installment in the series, each of the weapons and equipment that you will assume will be directly visible on the screen, which provides a unique and customizable heroes at will. Both say they will think twice before investing their money in all the best armor to prevent time from being displayed in a ridiculous outfit but powerful, especially in view of several parts. For the first time in the saga, the adventure can be flown in multiplayer, your human companions can join at any time your group or you propose you to integrate them to go hunt the slime together. That solo players do not worry unduly, the title is also affordable solo through the creation of allies who will accompany you whenever you want and you can set the pace, class and the equipment. Only downside, no person related to the scenario of the game will join you during the game and only your main hero will take place during the narrative sequences.

It welcomes, however, able to shape his team with as much freedom, each group member may be asked to change classes at any time depending on your whim. It will nevertheless accept the idea of returning to level 1 for receiving talents of your new job, but you will still have the capabilities that you unlocked earlier. The concept of "skill" should be considered alongside that of Dragon Quest VIII and results in a gain of points to be divided into different skills at each level rise. The passive skills will be beneficial permanently while special abilities must be activated manually with some MP. Note that now has a combo multiplier that increases every time your allies beat their opponents without being interrupted. The icing on the cake, a special attack unique to each job sometimes occurs randomly, then giving you a definite advantage. Posted on the world of men to assist them in their lives every day, the player plays an angel who completes his training with his master unfortunate incident when he is suddenly losing all his divine attributes. Stripped of his angel wings and a halo, he was relegated to a mere human, retaining only his ability to see and interact with the soul of the deceased. Accompanied by a little fairy, so our heroes will attempt to regain his former status, while leaving in search of fruit to the goddess which will allow the sacred tree to make its rebirth.

As in all aspects of the series, the adventure unfolds through meetings with residents, each community is usually the victim of an evil that must be eradicated before continuing on his way to other quests more or less salient . We thus find quite the spirit of previous parts in this adventure full of optional quests, they are downright numbered to encourage the player to go beyond the main adventure game exploring every inch and subtleties. Completely new to the saga, a system provided very emotes can ask the character to perform all sorts of precise movements to communicate with friends in multiplayer. An idea that comes even solo in solving certain puzzles. Another option not to overlook the famous pot of alchemy of the eighth component is again in place to enable us to design our own objects using recipes hidden in the closets of homes. Already blithely exceeding forty hours straight, the adventure is therefore a colossal in terms of life who wishes to return to the game in its entirety. Enough old-school in its progress to please the purists and bold enough in his new gameplay ideas to revive the pleasure of play, Dragon Quest IX is an episode which focuses on pleasure and that it hopes will quickly located .

Re: Dragon Quest IX Preview (DS)

You can find many items known as Mini Medals while you are playing game. When you visit the town of Dourbridge while you are playing, you will find some pirate king to be living there. You can give few items to the king and get some other rare items in exchange from him. He will sell you rare items when you give him 80 Mini Medals. i would suggest you the following few items instead of Gold by using those Mini Medals
    • 3 Medals: Prayer Ring
    • 5 Medals: Elfin Elixir
    • 8 Medals: Saint's Ashes
    • 10 Medals: Reset Stone
    • 15 Medals: Orihalcum
    • 20 Medals: Pixie Boots
