    Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes Preview

    The last time the license Might & Magic had talked about was at the portage disappointing Dark Messiah of M & M on Xbox 360. With Clash of Heroes, Ubisoft plans to put it back on the scene, and upon his arrival on DS, it takes a new form suited to the public: a puzzle-RPG. The concept, initiated by Puzzle Quest, is simple: it is a role-play - with all that implies in terms of progression of the characters (stats, skills, equipment) - whose fighting is the way to solve a puzzle-game. Clash of Heroes offers five types of heroes (elf, knight, wizard, necromancer and daemon), with capabilities and specialized units, which may be embodied in five scripted campaigns are releasing one after the other. Please be aware that the game takes place in turn-based and that there is, like his opponent, by a limited number of movements. Depending on the units with which they are formed, the lines of attack are created more or less laps to activate. Ultimately, the attack is propelled to the top screen: depending on its power and the opposition it faces (walls, enemy units), it will be able to touch or not the bottom line of the opponent.


    Whenever the bottom line is hit, the defender loses an amount of hit points corresponding to the remainder of the attack. Needless to say, he must try to position a strong resistance to most attackers: the units of the elite and legendary. The latter have a specific capability (which deer jumped over the wall, druids that increases the time to trigger attacks, dragon which sprays acid into the enemy camp ...). If the units are leaving the battlefield after having been attacked or destroyed, you are never short of cannon fodder as it is possible to call in reinforcements (price movement). Know that as we finally managed to touch his opponent, a gauge fills up, once full, it allows the hero to launch a particularly devastating special power, which often precipitates the end of combat. In case of victory, our heroes and units gain experience. Keep in mind that each type of enemy has its own specific need to know and adapt its strategy according to the opposition. Simple to the base, the gameplay becomes sufficiently complex to accommodate reach from random (which is mainly due to the configuration of the battlefield at the start of combat) and to develop real strategies.
