I have a PS3 running off the wireless-G. I'm going to get the wireless-N. Will it work with my PS3? I have a feeling that wireless- won't work with ps3 . Any suggestions would be appreciated . Thanks a lot for any advice .

Yes it works, who said you ir doesn't. I use an older wireless router & never had any problems with the signal that goes to my PS3 or Wii. I have heard that if you go into the settings on your router and change the "channel" the router is on that the wireless signal can improve.
Upgrading to wireless N from wireless g won't make any difference, However it may boost the signal strength a bit i guess if the modem is a better model. See this one TRENDnet TEW-647GA Wireless N gaming adapter , it works with PS3 also.
It's not worth for you to upgrade your home network from wireless G to N. Wireless G is completely sufficient for stuff anyone is doing at hom. It will only increase the transfer speed of your network to something which might be comparable with wired networks, Some of the more interesting products are this Hawking [HSB2] Hi-Gain WiFi Signal Booster, which can be used on either end of a wireless connection to boost the signal power.
