Xbox 360 repair warranty

My family had bought a Xbox 360 console yesterday. Every thing gone fine but i am still confused with its warranty policy. Some one says the warranty is for 90 days some says it is for 1 year, etc etc. Nothing sure of anything regarding the same. What you guys suggest regarding the Xbox repair warranty ?

While Microsoft maintains its one-year console warranty they had changed the warranty policy worldwide to 3 years after the consoles purchase when dealing with the 3 red rings of light hardware failure on Xbox 360s. This will apply to new and existing customers and Microsoft will retroactively refund the out-of-warranty repair costs paid by customers for console problems indicated by the three flashing red lights. First and foremost, you need the original retail purchaser. This means if you got on ebay or Amazon, no dice. Microsoft will not free your Xbox 360 console repair because it is not covered under warranty is.

As long as the problem falls in the Xbox 360 repair warranty’s terms, people can take advantage of it and after a warranty repair is made, a 1 month Xbox Live Gold subscription card is given away for free to compensate the damage. If it's still under warranty then you dont have to pay any charges. and if it is not then buy a 2 year warranty and then you will be set for 2 years. it is better to buy warranty instead of paying repairing charges.
