Black spot on the top screen of a Nintendo DS lite

Hi,

I have noticed that one of the pixels on the top of the screen has turned dark in colors but seemed to work fine when it was over white. I see some kind of black spot appear then vanish right where I touched it. I don't want to break my DS, but I want it to look clean and pretty. how do I clean that Black spot on the top screen of a Nintendo DS lite? What do i do about my ds???

I had the same issue, it was green on a black screen, but fine when the screen was white/bright. Indeed I can confirm that the flashing screen boot issues are 100% related to the nasty minuscule flat cable(s) below the ribbon. To remove these, you can pull up on the black bars and slide out each ribbon.

A screen that can't properly display the graphics means it is a defective unit.If you are technically inclined you can buy a replacement in any online store and replace it by yourself but its a bit complicated as you practically need to carefully dissasemble all the unit. If you have a warranty on it go back to bestbuy and they might be able to replace it or fix it.

Black spot on the top screen of a Nintendo DS lite means, if your screen is clean and no matter what color is in that area, it's probably a dead pixel. Nintendo is using plastic plugs or stickers to cover the screw holes. Take your flathead screwdriver and run it along the edges to loosen up the adhesive.
