What is Pandora Battery ? Which is the easiest and simple way to make a Pandora Battery ? i want to create one for my PSP . so some can guide me step by step .

A Pandora's battery (also known as JigKick, JigKick battery, pandora or TOOL) is a modified battery for the Sony Playstation Portable which puts it into service mode which allows it to boot into software or firmware loaded on the memory stick.

How it works

A Pandora's Battery works by sending an invalid serial number reading 0xFFFFFFFF to the PSP. This prompts the PSP to boot from the MemoryStick instead of flash0. This can then allow custom firmware to be installed.

Soft 'Mod'

A soft modification or Soft Mod is when a battery is converted to a Pandora's battery by means of software. This procedure requires the use of an existing homebrew enabled PSP and a homebrew program to reflash the battery's EEPROM. A notable homebrew used is the 'Hellcat's Pandora Installer'

Hard 'Mod'

A hard modification involves physically modifying the battery. This is usually done by cutting a pin on the battery's circut board or by shorting two specific pins. When the PSP reads the circut board, it reads a serial number of 0xFFFFFFFF
