Now a days I play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion at my home. Anyone know any Oblivion console commands? I have heard that using console commands is a similar to a cheat, is that true? Does it affect your game play or machine anyway? Please help!

The Oblivion console is a powerful in-game tool available to PC players. From the console it is possible, while playing the game, to enter commands that will alter most aspects of gameplay, and it is also possible to obtain detailed information about NPCs, creatures, and other items in the game. The console is only available on the PC; there is no way to use the console on the Xbox 360 or PS3 platforms.
Many commands are targeted: this means that you may use "player.command" to affect the player character, or you may target an NPC or object in the console by clicking on them, and then run "command" to affect the NPC or object.
Oblivion Console commands works only in the PC version. These commands helps you in various condition and may be used to cheat (yes, console commands usage is nothing but a Cheat), and let you to get away from difficult situation, or to give you more control over the game. To open the console, press tilde (~). Then type the command you want and press Enter. Here are some of the Oblivion console commands:
- Save <filename> - saves your game with a custom name
- ShowClassMenu - change your class (warning: will reset up your skill levels)
- ShowRaceMenu - change your name/race/appearance Changing your race WILL normally reset your stats
- ShowBirthsignMenu - change your birth sign
- ToggleDebugText (tdt) - show FPS and other debug information; enter it again to turn it off
- ToggleCollision (tcl) - removes/enables clipping, allowing you to fly through walls
- player.CenterOnCell <locationID> (coc) - teleports you to a location
- player.AddItem <itemID> <quantity> - adds an item to your inventory

A console command is where you type a code to do certain operations within the gameplay. In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion you can call the console at any point of time during your game by pressing the tilde button. You can call it as a cheat because that is not the actual game but you use some commands to get/remove some extra things in your game just to win. Sometimes using console commands may create some problems letting you to have a WARNING message.
