How can i play MKV files on my Xbox 360

I have lots of MKV Videos and would to play them on my 360. But as i know MKV are Matroska multimedia container files and 360 added much more multimedia support now. So Is it possible to play MKV Files on Xbox 360 in Extender mode without having them previously converted to WMV ? Please help.

Well, you can play MKV files on Xbox 360 but in a format the 360 can recognize. If you want to play MKV files on 360 without transcoding them, than you need to have the Windows 7 Operating system.
