How to connect ps3 to pc

My uncle gifted Ps3 to my brother last month. Now me and my brother want to connect PS3 to Pc. Is there any risk while connecting Ps3 to my pc ? Can you provide me information that how can we connect PS3 to Pc ?

Connect ps3 to pc

• Open WMP 11 on your PC
• On the top select "Library"
• Under Library select "Media Sharing"
• Mark the checkbox that says "Share my media", do not close this window yet.
• On the PS3 under video, photos or music, select "scan for media server"
• The PS3 sould now pop up in the the open window in WMP 11 as an "unknown device".
• Select the "unknown device" then press "allow".
• close the winow, let the PS3 finish scanning, then it should be good to go.

You can connect PSP3 to PC to transfer files besides memory cards like any USB device works, such as external HDD, ipod, you just have to select display all files. You need PC to manage your files properly, but once you have them on the PS3 you don't have to deal with booting up the PC.
