Call of duty : World at War sniper tips

As i'm using Arisaka sniper and its behaving in strange way, i haven't used it before so i'm not sure that i'm doing right or wrong. I can't sniper any one running in any direction, i'm not sure that do i have to aim on them or ahead or in front of them?

Any help or trick will be very much thankful.

At mid range, aiming your crosshair directly onto your opponent and firing will result in a hit. However, once you start aiming for targets that are farther away (300+m), your bullets take time to reach their location. This is because of the velocity of the rifle itself, not your mistake. To compensate for this, you need to keep your crosshair just ahead of your opponents. It’s not much but it will definitely get you’re the kill or, at the least, injure them. This, like everything else in sniping, takes lots of practice. Never give up, never get discouraged, and always try harder.

COD waw is very much realistic,like happens in real world, you have to judge the speed and distance of the opponent and you have to shoot ahead of them.

Put your reticle (crosshair) in front of your target just a little bit. This will cause your target to run into your bullet and give you a pretty good shot. Shot the head. If you can lol.
