Installing lost planet without steam

i have copy of lost planet Steam cd from my brother and i want to play it with my friend together by using lan but the installer can only able to install game via Steam and steam i snot going to allow it on multiple pc.I have that original copy of game. so is there any way to play on LAN?

similar one is for me i buy original dvd of lost planet ,some one told me i need to create a premium account on steam by paying them to play multiplayer is there any other option available ?

if you buy the game from shop you will get a stand alone server of lost planet to play multiplayer like other game cod4 with that you can play online..

steam only checks keys when playing online it make sures that key is only used single time.so you need need a CD key to install it. If you both log on steam account then go to offline mode you can play on LAn together.
