    Alan Wake Preview

Alan Wake was going to take the place of Duke Nukem Forever in the category of securities ghosts. Yet 4 years after its first appearance at E3 and a complete disappearance of exhibitions, the title of Remedy has finally come back to life.

To the extent that Alan Wake is also expected that discreet, do not hesitate to give you head in the details of his scenario. Alan Wake is a successful writer who nonetheless lost the inspiration. His wife Alice he proposes to take a vacation in the beautiful forest village of Bright Falls, lost in the mountains and woods. But little by little, the dream holiday will become a nightmare when Alan realizes that a book he has no recollection of writing comes to life before his eyes. Worse, his wife Alice disappears dark force that seems to take possession of all that surrounds it.

Described as a thriller, Alan Wake is located halfway between the survival-horror and action game and adventure. At the outset, one is struck by the density of the atmosphere taken from Stephen King novels whose decor has certainly inspired Remedy. Obviously taking place at night, the demo presented by Alan saw the studio in search of new pages of this lost manuscript of which he has no recollection of pages found by Rusty, one of the many characters populating the darkness of game Having barely set foot outside, Alan Wake must use his flashlight, his greatest ally. It only allows it to people, animals or objects controlled by the dark force lurking in Bright Falls and that seems to be his own creation. It's light that allows Alan to make his enemies vulnerable to attacks provided with some firearms recovered here and there. And attacks, it will suffer from all over. While Alan Wake is not an action game ever, the player will face a variety of attacks. First, we must escape an army of possessed humans, creatures without faces forward with determination and armed hammers, plank or any object. But frequently, Alan will be dealing with objects. Here, the dark force them to take him swinging garbage later, it will outright control of a bulldozer to try to wipe it off the map the house in which he had taken refuge.

In all cases, the only rule to remember is: no light, no salvation. Whether from the torch or a lamp which will provide a little current. Or better yet, a distress rocket, visually spectacular weapon which could also serve to do major damage to create a protective curtain of light. Often, there is indeed, in the demo at least, that the use of the rocket alert gives rise to effects of staging is also reflected in other aspects of the game because Alan Wake is a game that emphasizes atmosphere. Proof of this lawsuit from the famous Rusty. Approaching its destination, Alan begins to find a few pages of his manuscript word for word explaining the events to follow, as would a narrator to introduce the result of the game In this case, the text tells how Rusty is kidnapped by the mysterious force. The text just read, Rusty yells a few hundred meters, used his gun and tries to resist a creature whose roar is cold in the back. And then that Alan runs in pursuit of the thing, the spectacle of huge trees felled by passing what a cool your ardor. The sequence is reminiscent of the appearances of the monster in the first season of Lost. We also note in passing that the soundtrack, dubbing like effects, is of excellent quality.

Finally, later in the demo, Alan went to the lighthouse, where lie the last pages of the chapter he seeks in this sequence. A place to be a refuge for the light it prodigal ... until the reading of the novel word and cursed fatal. The lighthouse extinguished, the flying bridge pieces. End of demo. Release, hopefully in spring 2010. And in fact, the motor is not at all ashamed of the competition.

    Re: Alan Wake Preview

It is not the revolutionary invention that a number of possibly will have expected, however it's still great entertainment. Remedy has built a world that, despite being a fantastic realm of twisting shadows and realities, is firmly anchored in authenticity. Exceptional design environment and a number of bright visuals and sound that Bright Falls and its immediate mountains look and feel alive. Although the camera can cause problems and the supernatural tale is not as interesting as a number of the questions it raises, is a complicated game to put down once you've begun.
