i have download and installed mirror's edge but after start it frezze at the first splash screen.i have the latest motherboard bios also updated latest Catalyst ATI drivers then what is the problem can some one help me ?

this might be due to improper configuration of your video settings which cause problem of freezing to solve this you can restore settings to default or just check this to solve.

in my case problem was the 8600M GS, as all the geforce 8 and higher with a minimum of 256MB of RAM supports So disable it, it makes the game unplayable at times.G84M/G86M have a manufacturing defect, which makes them extremely sensitive to temperature.

binaries folder of Mirror's Edge is a openal32.dll file. try to take out this OpenAL32.dll from the binaries folder.well another thing is EA said state Quad core CPU's are not supported for this game.
