PS3 controller doesn't get turn off

I'm not able to turn off my PS3 controller. Whenever i try to turn off my PS3 controller, the buttons doesn't work and i can not turn off my PS3 controller. In order to turn off my PS3 controller, i have to directly switch off the power button. Can any body tell me that why i'm having such problem with my PS3 controller? Does any body knows about it? Kindly help me out to resolve the above issue.

I think there is defective battery inside or your battery seems to dead one. For that you need to buy the new battery or you can try to replace it if your PS3 is covered under warranty.

I think you can used the USB charger in the PC and can try to use it. You can try to use small hole on the back of the PS3 also, by putting a pin in there, which is been plugged in to the charger. You can see the reset button on the right hand side.

It may also happen if the buttons are not working properly on your PS3. Check out whether they are not in damage condition. If its an hardware issue then you may have to replace or try to repair the button on your PS3.
