    Lost Planet 2 (Preview)

The planet EDN III shed its snowpack at the end of the first episode is a completely revitalized now offered to the player. The story takes place a few years after the first episode. After the abortion in extremist Frontier Project NEVEC, the planet EDN III remained the cradle of the race Achris. As might be expected, the poor Wayne is not the hero of this episode and the mystery remains as to her after the events of Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions.A cooperatives mode accepting a maximum of four players is present. It will require therefore a cohesive group flawless in order to survive in this very hostile environment. In fact, there is real hero in this second part: each character is an embodied avatar created from scratch through an interface on which we return later.

Yet the publisher was fairly ambiguous regarding which consoles Lost Planet 2 would arrive on. Capcom stated the title is “being developed for the Xbox 360”, but didn’t go as far as say exclusively. Capcom was, however, not shy in reminding that the announcement was delivered “exclusively” on Xbox Live.

Edge contacted Capcom to bring clarity to the situation, yet a representative for the publisher could not take the opportunity to brand the game as an exclusive.

    re: Lost Planet 2 (Preview)

Perhaps you have already seen through the first trailer: 2 Lost Planet promises a wide variety of landscapes. But for now, it is only the first level of the jungle which has been presented. Without going into detail, Jun Takeuchi and his cronies wanted to put us immediately into the bath. A team of four players - three people supported by AI - thus began to discover this untamed wildlife. Rapid initial Achris occur and our attacking quartet. The opportunity to find its identity: the thermal energy produced by the always Achris feeds combinations settlers and, strangely, continues to decline despite weather conditions far less extreme. Why? To this question Jun Takeuchi has remained silent, suggesting that the equipment people need to be fed, no matter the conditions. Obviously, the loss of life is always offset by the thermal energy.

The first clashes with Achris were also an opportunity to introduce some improvements to gameplay. A start with a dash to claim the body and screaming by fans of the first strand. It is actually a short race to the front or sides bringing a touch of dynamism in the movement of the character. The camera has been tightened on the latter and slightly cropped on the right, taking a perspective closer to that of a Gears Of War (but not align). The activation of a tag - so-called data post - now generates respawn point in addition to providing a refill of thermal energy.

The Vital Suits are back, and obviously Mr. Takeuchi has assured us that the game would dozens. Interestingly, some driven VS may be several! This should stir the imagination of fans of the wicked. At the moment we have discovered that a single model, the Power Suit, a close VS exoskeletons driven Neo and his clique in the third part of the Matrix series. But the main contribution of Lost Planet 2 c ' is obviously the cooperation. Unfortunately it is this dimension that the presentation of the game was the most discreet. Stingy with examples, it has only the possibilities in battle standard (read: out of boss battles). Only one item we found was a kind of grenade that generates a field of protection for his teammates.

The example offered by Jun Takeuchi and his team was the one that everyone hoped the huge creature sighted at the end of the trailer. Emerging from a lake, the monster at first glance seems unassailable. But solutions are emerging quite rapidly by concentrating their fire on its members, the 4 teammates will bend the monster and a little quiet time to water the appendices of thermo-energy bristling him back. But another solution exists: a player can take the lead and burnt, while his comrades distract the beast, leap into the mouth of it to destroy its insides. Finally, carried away by the intestinal fluid of the creature, it will expel any droppings as you can just imagine what per issue! The battle ends with the dissolution of the flesh of the creature and not rest while his gigantic skeleton as relic.

    re: Lost Planet 2 (Preview)

The rails of the trigger will be delighted to learn that the title will offer three times more weapons than the first episode of which two thirds will be completely new. Finally, the last information in bulk, ten human soldiers will be displayed in battle, including NPC's. Oh, and we would almost forget: a demo of the game is up, probably shortly after E3.If the enthusiasm prevailed at the end of that first meeting with Lost Planet 2, some doubts still remain. What about the dramatic intensity of the campaign? No main character can still expect a solid story with charismatic villains and secondary characters endearing? Will it be pleasure to go this way as several solo? Small legitimate concerns that we hope will be scanned during the E3 where the title will be presented in playable.
