Saccades during the games probably due to missing software

The problem: when I play GTA 4 or Shaun White (despite patches applied) games run at ~ 45 fps on GTA 4 and ~ 80 fps for Shaun White and during 1/2 every 10 seconds the game freezes as if there was a transfer problem (the same as for slow saccades HDD). So I put all the drivers updated (Graphics card, chipset .....) but I have not found so I asked an idea please!

I tried to change the HDD it is not the problem. Good on Vista is worse (on Shaun White) it jerks every 1/2 seconds for 1/4 of a second it looks like I made the 20 fps! otherwise not work with gta 4 on Vista

- You may have overclocked too much: E8400@4.4 Ghz (489 x 9) @ 1.44 V, returning to more reasonable value.

- Look at the back of hdd if there is a switch that limits to 150, without this they turn into 300 (full pot sata 2). and check in bios hdd management options .. So in the device manager the details of the management of hard disks.

- If there are tips for modifying the registry
. to increase the size or the number of IO buffer exchange ..
. to specify the size of the L1/L2 caches of the processor.

- Check if you have the latest version of Microsoft DirectX .., drivers for your graphics card, your network card.
- Set in your network card and QOS protocols ipv6
- Disables the graphical frills of the OS (aero/vista, etc. ..) and gives priority to the program in the foreground.
- Check also the details of your graphics settings, attention to the screen resolution .. with 8800 .. if not see a 9800 GTS 250 1GB

note: a hdd can be managed NCQ/AHMIA to install the OS with the drivers required and not via IDE. Or in the partitioning of a more particular at the expense of disk space.

Well thank you for your reply.

- You think that too much overclock may wear problems?
- Switch the HDD I knew not but since I got the pc it should not have any (sata connected directly to the motherboard)
- everything is updated

I've tried everything nothing worked, it seems that there is a transfer problem. Is there a site to see if we lack the software as windows or install windows net framework.

Verify that you did xp sp3, and do a memtest (with UBCD for example).

Normally the VF1000 is compatible with the HD4890.
