Unable to play Sims 2

I have an HP laptop (I do not know if it is to take) and it works with Vista. When I try to install the Sims 2, the successful but impossible to play games I was advised to download several patches but nothing happens Can someone help me?

Infact the game moves very well. The only problem is that when the game starts it loads And this is when loading it freezes . It can remain for hours in the process of loading in the end it does not work.

Have you tried to uninstall completely, well defragment your disk before you deliver? it is quite large.
