Ubisoft stops with the game Shadowbane

Publisher Ubisoft pulls the plug from the free playable game Shadowbane. On May 1, the servers being unmounted. Shadowbane started in 2003 as a game where a monthly amount to be counted down.

The notice on the Shadowbane website has been expanded, but the message is simple: Ubisoft stops the game. The servers on which the game is hosted on May 1 offline. The game was launched in March 2003 as a game for which a monthly amount should be counted. In March 2006 Ubisoft has decided to play Shadowbane for free to make. Revenue should be generated from ads that are visible while in and out and the times when the player dies in the game.

Shadowbane was created by the U.S. Wolfpack Studios, a year after the launch of Shadowbane was bought by Ubisoft. Shadowbane was one of the first game where the emphasis on player-versus-player battles. In addition, Shadowbane was because players affect the look of the game world. I played the beta and was very against (many promises that were made by the Devs that no or very moderate came back in the game) but there are unique parts in the game including the building of cities later by other MEAs, such as Horizons and Age of Conan, has tried to take over but no MMO Shadowbane has been so unique as it came to building, maintaining and gaining of player-run cities.

Is a little annoying, games where you rely on 1 host for the servers. Then you years trying to build a character, etc. and you are lost in 1 hit because it decided that it no longer profitable.
