| Rockstar Games Announces Max Payne 3 for Winter 2009
The award-winning Max Payne franchise put players in the role of Max Payne, a hard-boiled New York City detective with a penchant for violence, out to avenge the death of his family. The latest installment delivers more of the classic elements and hyper-intense action that fans have come to love, while moving the story of Max in a new direction. "We're starting a new chapter of Max's life with this game," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "This is Max as we've never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation." Since leaving the NYPD and New York itself behind, Max has drifted from bad to worse. Double-crossed and a long way from home, Max is now trapped in a city full of violence and bloodshed, using his weapons and instincts in a desperate search for the truth and a way out. Max Payne 3 will be available in winter 2009 for Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and PC. |

Now nearly 6 years, six long years, fans await the return of Max Payne. Good news, the former inspector in New York should make his comeback in gaming Max Payne 3, the new episode scheduled for winter 2009 (say before 31 March 2010) on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Max Payne 3 should include all the ingredients that made the success of the series, starting with its dark and violent atmosphere. Announces an action game even "more intense" and a new artistic direction. ![]() "We are starting a new chapter in the life of Max," said Saturday Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "This is Max, as you've never seen before, it is older and more cynical than ever. After leaving the Police in New York, Max is in a downward spiral, trapped in a city where violence has no limits. The plot of this third component in any case seems to represent a priority for Canadian developers, and so much better. We now eagerly awaits the first images. ![]() |

Well well, the first 2 were awesome . I think Rockstar come out with a good game based on bullet time to the sauce but next-gen. In addition to the history of air renewal with Max even worse than ever, and different from what we usually see, a bit like what Ubi wants to do with Sam Fisher. |

Max Payne using a lantern isn't right. The games are meant to be dark and noir. Using a lantern takes away from that. Plus it looks lame. Rockstar is still part of the developers that I have a blind faith today. Just look at the quality of GTA on DS to be convinced. Everyone expected a title! just to make money, and then not, once again they have proved they are talented.
