Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Confirmed for Playstation 3

A few days ago, Tecmo has issued an invitation to the American press in order to reveal a mysterious game in the margins of the Game Developers Conference (23 to 27 March). But ultimately, no need to wait until next week due to indiscretions of Famitsu magazine reveals that the first 2 Ninja Gaiden Sigma for Playstation 3. Like the first episode, it will be an upgraded version of Ninja Gaiden II (already available on Xbox 360). The publication mentions the presence of Ayane, a new playable character. There will also be new weapons, functions online, as well as exclusive boss. The first images of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, due out this year, will be unveiled during the GDC'09 San Francisco.

Expect more details to be formally announced over the next week, including confirmation on whether this is "a loss of face for everyone involved." We certainly expect monster faces to get the worst of it.
