Quake Live Beta can be Play Without Invite
If anybody is interested and doesn’t have one, I have a Quake Live beta test invitation. I barely have enough time to play TF2, that I probably will not play Quake Live. For Your Information, Quake Live is a browser version of Quake 3 and also goes by the name of Quake Zero. It will eventually be free and the rumor is that this beta invitation gives the person 5 more beta invites as well. I also believe something involving Quake Live will occur at Quakecon, just like how they gave out beta keys to ET QuakeWars last year.
Quake Live, which formerly known as Quake Zero, is a new and innovative first-person shooter (FPS) multi-player video game
developed by id Software, who is also the creator of popular games such as Doom and Quake. Quake Live is succeeding its predecessor Quake III Arena as a “major league” first-person shooter eSports competition game.
To support
Quake Live, which has more than 25 maps and various game modes such as “Free for All”, “Team Deathmatch”, “Capture the Flag”, “Clan Areana” and “Instagib”, the game will be financially supported by in-game advertising from IGA Worldwide. Skill-based matchmaking will be powered by a “metagame engine” developed by GaimTheory.
Previously, joining Quake Live game requires an invite, when it entered an invitation-based closed beta in 2008. Beginning from February 24th, 2009, open beta has begun, and everybody and anybody who interests to play Quake Live can register a free player account without any invite. To register for the free Quake Live account, just head to the following URL:
http://www.quakelive.com/#register
Do note that due to overwhelming response, new registration may place in the queue before activation.
