Problems while playing games

Hello Friends

I face a problem while playing games. I have a 20inch flat tv connected to my laptop that's Compaq Presario via a VGA lead. Whenever i try to play any game on my laptop, the screen starts blinking. But it works fine whenever i use it for normal use such as for internet or to watch any movies. Can any one tell me why i'm facing such problem? How do i get rid out of this issue? Any help on it would be appreciated.

What other programs are running. Is your anti-virus kicking in over the time frame?

Check out your cable whether they are plugged properly or not. I think your cable must be having some kind of problem.

I think the game may be corrupted one which may not allow you to play. Or there is a problem with your driver. Check for an updated version and if one isn't available, then roll it back to the previous version.

Just check the requirements of the game and check if your lap top is capable of playing the game or not??
