Star Wars: Empire at War "Feature Transfer Error"

    Hi friends,

I was trying to install Star Wars: Empire at War, but I keep getting an error message - "Feature Transfer Error". What does it mean and how to solve this?
    Feature : game
    Component: Game_files
    File: f:\GameData\data3.cab
Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Make sure that any anti-virus software is turned off when installing. Also, you have put the route as f:\Gamedata - but surely this should be f:\Programfiles\Lucasarts\Empireatwar .

Also CHECK your game CD or your CD drive.

CRC (cyclic redundancy check) usually means something's wrong with your CD/DVD drive or the disc itself. It sounds like your drive quit working in the middle of installing cab 3. You might want to try uninstalling and installing again.

Transfer all installation files on a USB stick or make a backup with any burning application. And try to install it from that source.
You can also make image of installation CD which can also start the game.
