Cannot host Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne

Hello there,

I just love playing WC3FT. I have the added ports. I can join but i can't host. I don't know what's going wrong. Please Help.

Check the windows firewall. To check to see if the windows firewall is disabled using XP, follow these steps:

• Click Start
• Click Settings
• Click Network Connections
• Right-click on your connection and click Properties
• Click the Advanced tab
• Uncheck the box next to the description of the Internet Connection Firewall

If you have any firewall software installed on your system, then check it is allowing Warcraft III access to port 6112, TCP for incoming data.

If the IP address of your computer changes, it may cause problem hosting the game. Set it to a static IP so you don't have to worry about this in the future. Try to do following:

1. Configure a static IP
2. Add the port on your routeur (port 6112) (depending of your routeur, but the passwords and the user name by default is : admin)
3. Then you get firewall option, i recommend to turn off firewall.

But you can do this if you are logged in as Administrator on your computer.

If you are connected to a NAT router, you need to forward port 6112, TCP to your computer in the modem/NAT router's settings. You are connected to a cable or DSL modem with a built-in firewall that is blocking incoming connections on port 6112, TCP, you need to open the port so those connections can be established.
