Mirror's Edge and PhysX

Mirror's Edge on PC on January 16 2009

So finally mirror's edge is out!

I tried the games with and without PhysX and I see no difference!

My questions:

- Is what "Physx works under xp and dx9?
- Is my stuff? a 9600GT which displays more than 60 fps while bottom in 1280 x 1024. Yet it is compatible PhysX!

Re: Mirror's Edge and PhysX

The game is not 100% physX. You will have some elements such as leaves and dust that respond to the helicopter, flying glass fragments in a more realistic, a sheet driven by wind, etc.. Especially the interaction with the sets, but it is far from 100% in all phases of the game

Re: Mirror's Edge and PhysX

Normally, all the graphic card series are compatible 8/9/GTX PhysX perfs and will take a blow. It would seem that there have been even a few problems.

Remember to install the patch and use the drivers 181.22 (beta). But as pointed out by Gunilla, the impact on the game is minimal, therefore, for you to see if you can go away or not.

However, very beautiful game!

Re: Mirror's Edge and PhysX

Have you enabled the drivers in the game?

Normally in control panel you have a PhysX option, simply activate it there. My own way I play in a 17" with a 8600 GT 256MB but I still find it beautiful
