Hello,
I installed the game Half Life 2, episode one. Steam was installed correctly, (creating the account, etc. .....) but I can not connect to the games when I try to open a game, it is always on loading and the window opens, then disappears! Someone could perhaps explain what I do?

Steam normally does nothing to do with the games, steam is always online.
The window loading, Appear then disappear? Can you explain in details?

You know to you open Windows Task Manager?
Start Task Manager (CTRL + ALT + DEL)
Then see if you have HL2 running in process. If there is not, look in process, something that should resemble a HL2.exe

Your account should work on both Steam and the Steam website- they are both exactly the same thing (Steam itself acts as a browser for the Steam website). You should have no problems if you can log into Steam itself.
