Spanish Nintendo Magazine ‘Nintendo Accion’ is dead-set on confirming the existence of Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics. The small scan above is the only proof we have, and I’m still not convinced. With that said, a move like this would make perfect sense. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games was a big hit for both Sega and Nintendo. This sequel seems like a no-brainer…but I wouldn’t call it confirmed just yet.

It's not the most surprisingest of news when you consider how successful the first Mario & Sonic game was. It was released for Wii in November 2007 and DS in February 2008, and five million copies were sold in the first three months alone.

According to the totally un-subtle next month page in Spanish Mag Nintendo Accion, the second Wii party game will take place at the Winter Olympics. Sounds like a no brainer to us, both in terms of variety (ski jumps!) and Sega's wallet.
The mag translation mentions "Olympics, cold and winter," so unless we're got the worst Spanish translator in the world, Sonic and Mazza are probably going somewhere chilly... with medals.
