All of this info is included in the Rock Band 2 instruction manual and the instrument-specific manuals in the bundle.

    Guitar Set Up

    1. Pull out the guitar in the long white box in the center of the bundle.
    2. Make sure to read the instrument instruction manual first. It will give you more detailed instructions on how to proceed with the next few steps, including how to:
      • Attach the headstock to the neck of the Fender guitar.
      • Insert batteries into the compartment on the back of the guitar body.
      • Attach the guitar strap.
      • Turn on the guitar using the switch on the back.
      • Sync the RB guitar to the Wii using the dongle.
    3. To sync the guitar peripheral to your Wii you’ll have to plug the white dongle into one of the Wii’s USB ports. Press down the guitar icon button until it flashes blue. Press and hold the sync button on the dongle and then press and hold the sync button beneath the whammy bar on the guitar. The Wii will then assign the guitar to one of the open controller profiles and you can start shredding.

    Microphone Set Up

    1. Remove the RB mic from the pouch tethered to the inside of the bundle.
    2. Insert the mic into one of the free USB ports on the Wii.
    3. The mic won’t need to be synced like the guitar, but you will need to have a Wiimote handy to sign the mic into game play, navigate through menus, and change vocal settings. Once your mic is plugged in and your Wiimote is synced to the Wii you will be able to start belting out the tunes.

    Drum Set Up

    1. Next come the drums. Everything left in the bundle should be part of your drum kit at this point.
    2. In between the legs of the drum kit and the side of the box you’ll find a plastic pouch containing the RB drum instruction manual as well as a sweet set of RB stickers. The manual will provide an illustrated walkthrough detailing how to:
      • Set up your RB drum kit.
      • Insert batteries into the compartment on the underside of the drum pads.
      • Sync your drum set to the Wii.
    3. Remove the dongle from its pouch and plug it into a free USB port on the Wii.
    4. Set out the base / legs for the drum set and connect them with the support beams.
    5. Slide the legs to the drum set into the base. Adjust them to an equal height using the latches on the side.
    6. Place the drum pads on the legs and lock them into place using the latches on the back.
    7. Rest the kick pedal on the support beams and connect the pedal by inserting the plug in the orange slot on the back of the drum pads.
    8. To connect the drums to the Wii you will need to turn on the drums using the switch on the bottom of the pads. Press the drum icon button until it flashes blue. Press and hold the sync button on the dongle and then press and hold the sync button on the underside of the drum pads. The Wii will then assign the drums to one of the open controller profiles and you can start wailing.

With all three instruments synced to the Wii you’ll be set to rock out as a full band. The instruction manual included with your Rock Band disc will walk you through the main menu and point you to Quickplay, World Tour, and all the other juicy play modes in RB2.
